Super Pedro – 4 Ribs (Echinopsis Scopulicola)
Super Pedro is well-known among Echinopsis lovers for its lovely flowers (which emerge only at night) and high mescaline content.
While several people have been fortunate enough to view a Super-Pedro cactus with 5-9 ribs, the majority of people have only read about or seen images of the rare 4-ribbed Super-Pedro. With this 25-30cm cutting, you may easily grow your own 4-ribbed Super Pedro cactus at home.
Super Pedro, also known as Echinopsis scopulicola, is a fast-growing cactus native to South America’s Andes Mountain area. It grows in altitudes between 2,000 and 3,000 meters above sea level in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru, but it can also be grown in other parts of the world. Four-ribbed Super Pedro cactus are extremely unusual, with only old types producing so few ribs.
Healthy and mature Super-Pedro cacti have gorgeous, big white flowers that emerge at night and remain for 2-3 days. They also have high amounts of several alkaloids, the most well-known of which is mescaline.
